Partition Manager Server™ Provides Disk Maintenance for Realty Firm While Minimizing Operational Downtime 

Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty (SSIR) is a full service luxury real estate company with four divisions: Residential, Commercial, New Homes, and Auctions. The company’s vision is to leverage a unique combination of local and global resources to effectively bring together buyers and sellers from around the globe. 

Supporting this vision requires 24/7 network communications and effective network management between SSIR’s 6 geographically-dispersed offices. With multiple servers, over 100 fixed workstations, and 300 laptops, SSIR IT managers are chartered with ensuring over 400 workers are properly armed with working software and hardware platforms 24 hours a day 7 days a week. 

One of SSIR’s important and recent hardware management tasks included the need to resize dynamic disk partitions on a live (production) server running Microsoft Exchange 2007. Before purchasing Paragon Partition Manager Server, Dan Gentile, SSIR’s Director of Information 

Technology was utilizing standard operating system disk tools that required significant server downtime, not to mention specific expertise to learn and use.
